New goals, changes in perspectives, and 100 days of Python
In the past few months, I have dedicated myself to analyzing the job market and reflecting on my professional purpose. In this process, I realized the need to establish new goals, and I found Python programming language to be a promising path to align my perspectives and build something new. Therefore, I have decided to share this study journey with the aim of strengthening my knowledge base in algorithms, data structures, software development, and data analysis.
We are currently living in a time of profound transformations in the world of work. Discussions about working hours, the impact of technological automation on job extinction, and uncertainties regarding how the system will maintain labor relations and people's rights are prevalent. In the field of technology, these issues are particularly prominent, especially with the introduction of Artificial Intelligence (AI), which has sparked heated debates about the future of professionals in the field. Recent examples such as mass layoffs in the sector following the pandemic indicate significant changes in work relationships and the dynamics of supply and demand, raising concerns about the precariousness of the industry.
Observing this context, I realized the need to reassess my career objectives. While web development is a fascinating field, I recognized that it was not aligned with my professional and personal goals. That's when Python emerged as an inspiring solution, offering the opportunity to explore new possibilities. Currently, I maintain two public repositories on GitHub, where I document and share my study and practice process. In the near future, I also plan to create videos to provide an interactive experience, share my knowledge, and reflect on how technology can enhance human skills.
This journey of shifting perspectives and pursuing new objectives has not been easy, but I understand that building something new requires discipline and persistence. Throughout this process, I have come across excellent references that have assisted me in my development, and I would like to share them with all of you.
I believe we are experiencing a transformative moment in society, where it is crucial to dare to dream and question established structures. Nothing is fixed or permanent, and it is through this process of continuous evolution that we can build a better future.
